The Digital Film School Africa (DFSA) has announced the addition of three new courses, Editing, Sound, and Cinematography, to its range of courses, broadening its practical training opportunities for aspiring filmmakers across the continent.
This brings to six the total number of courses run by the online film training school. The school initially launched with Documentary Writing, Screenwriting, and Creative Producing. The expansion aims to provide a more comprehensive foundation for young creatives looking to enter the film and media industry.
According to the school’s leadership, the updated curriculum is designed to equip students with both technical skills and storytelling tools needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving media landscape. The new courses are expected to deepen the impact of the program and help reach more young people interested in the visual arts.
Digital Film School Africa is a joint project by the Ghana YMCA and the African University of Communications and Business (AUCB), in partnership with German-based non-profit Weltfilme. The initiative is supported by the German Cooperation and GIZ.
DFS Africa continues to empower the next generation of African filmmakers to tell authentic stories which reflect their communities and cultures. Enrollment for the new courses is expected to begin soon.
